Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended the tax returns filing date till October 30th, said an official statement issued here Wednesday.
The spokesman of the top revenue collection department, Israr Rauf said that the decision of extending of tax returns filing date was taken to facilitate the taxpayers who have been directly or indirectly affected by the worst floods that hit the country recently.
"Pakistan Tax Bar Association has requested the FBR to extend the date as the taxpayers were facing difficulties after floods that had impacted adversely the economic condition of the business community in general and taxpayers in particular," he elaborated.
