Companies have jacked up branded ghee prices by Rs4 per kg, traders said on Wednesday.
With this upsurge, the prices of branded ghee has reached Rs149 per kg which was earlier sold at Rs145 a kg in the retail market of Karachi.
"Palm oil prices are witnessing a consistent rise in the international market and that is why the ghee prices are escalating," said a trader.
